Presto

Description: DSH orange and white
Born: April 9, 2026
Gender: Male

History:

Presto was born 10.44 p.m. to Rhapsody, a highly socialized stray taken in by PAW. We had hoped that ‘Rho’ was not pregnant, as we suspected she was unspayed. She was indeed pregnant. During the night of April 9th/10th, she gave birth to five kittens. Presto (the term for a musical movement that is ‘fast’) was first born – evidently in a hurry to come out.

Personality:

This little guy’s name suits him: he’s quick and agile, and wants to get out and explore! He will fly from one new item to another, then come back, (maybe) or go on to something else (definitely). Presto was the first of the litter to be born, and he keeps that quality by being the first to run to anything novel. He and his siblings have a room to themselves but when released, Prseto is the first out the door. He was the first to encounter cats outside his family and while he abides by any feline warning that a cat may not be interested in meeting him, he isn’t frightened easily. He’ll just find something else that might be fun. But with adult cats who like him, he’ll return the feeling. He’s a climber and learned to scale his room’s scratching post before his brothers and sister. He’ll also climb a human’s leg… He is very friendly to people, though right now, for him, most actions are an invitation to play. He enjoys wrestling with his siblings and playing with toys. The pictures of him are a couple of weeks old, so he’s grown a bit but is still as cute and loveable. Current likenesses will be posted soon. He, like his beautiful mum, Rhapsody, and siblings, Largo, Andante, Vivace and Allegro, will be ready for adoption in July (see their respective profiles.)

Please Note:

  • The $250 adoption fee covers first vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and micro-chip.
  • If the kitten is adopted before its booster is due (30 days from first vaccination), the adopter must arrange and pay for booster themselves.
  • When it is time for the kitten’s spay/neuter surgery, a representative from PAW will be in touch with adopter to co-ordinate the date.
  • All surgeries will be done at Highlands Pet Hospital in Lethbridge unless the adopter lives out of the area. For those cases, arrangements will be discussed individually.
  • If adopter chooses to add pre-anesthetic blood-work prior to spay/neuter surgery, payment for that is the responsibility of the adopter and is payable to the veterinary clinic the morning of surgery.
  • Post-surgery, adopter must contact PAW to request change in contact information for micro-chip (no charge)
