Petal

Description: DSH black
Born: Approximately September 1, 2026
Gender: Female

History:

Petal came to PAW in an unusual way: in the mouth of a dog. Well, she was found in a back yard, all alone, and a big dog had been carrying her for a while – completely unharmed. Perhaps the dog was wondering what this little bit of a creature was. Petal was taken into the home an experienced PAW foster-guardian.

Personality

We’re still learning about this marvellous little girlcat. Petal had to deal with a tough upper respiratory infection at the start, so she was segregated from the other cats in her foster-home. She was friendly with people from the start, adorable and happy. She had no trouble figuring out what a litter-box was for, and took to her food like every morsel was her favourite. That’s good, because this kitten has energy enough for two.

She has been introduced to another kitten, a permanent resident, and it was friendship at first sight. They play and sleep together. They aren’t inseparable, though, and give each other space when needed. This bodes well for the future, since it suggests that Petal will be able to make other friends just as easily.

Petal isn’t quite ready for adoption, but will be soon. We want to know a bit more about her. She will need to be adopted into a home with another kitten or youngish, active cat.
