Vivace (Viv-aw-chee)

Description: DSH dilute tortoiseshell
Born: April 10, 2026
Gender: Female

History:

Vivace was born soon after midnight to Rhapsody, a highly socialized stray taken in by PAW. We had hoped that ‘Rho’ was not pregnant, as we suspected she was unspayed. She was indeed pregnant. During the night of April 9th/10th, she gave birth to five kittens. Vivace (the term for a musical movement that is ‘lively’) was born third or fourth.

Personality:

Vivace lives up to her name. She’s a brave one and likes to explore. She doesn’t run from one new thing to the next, as her brother, Presto, does, though; something might catch her interest and she’ll stay a while to examine or play with it. She enjoys being petted and stroked, and will probably develop into a lap-cat, as she likes lying on her foster-guardian, and even fell asleep on his legs once. She gets along with all her brothers – all the siblings have a good relationship – and holds her own in any wrestling match or chase. Viv is also  learning to climb well. She is close to her mum, is a good eater but not fixated on food. The pictures of her are a couple of weeks old, so she’s grown a bit but is still as cute as a little fuzzy doll. Current likenesses will be posted soon. She, like her beautiful mother, Rhapsody, and brothers, Largo, Andante, Presto and Allegro, will be ready for adoption in July (see their respective profiles.)

Please Note:

  • The $250 adoption fee covers first vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and micro-chip.
  • If the kitten is adopted before its booster is due (30 days from first vaccination), the adopter must arrange and pay for booster themselves.
  • When it is time for the kitten’s spay/neuter surgery, a representative from PAW will be in touch with adopter to co-ordinate the date.
  • All surgeries will be done at Highlands Pet Hospital in Lethbridge unless the adopter lives out of the area. For those cases, arrangements will be discussed individually.
  • If adopter chooses to add pre-anesthetic blood-work prior to spay/neuter surgery, payment for that is the responsibility of the adopter and is payable to the veterinary clinic the morning of surgery.
  • Post-surgery, adopter must contact PAW to request change in contact information for micro-chip (no charge)
