Hobbes and Bandit

History:

Bandit and Hobbes were surrendered when their person had to leave an unfortunate domestic situation. They are currently available to adopt through an arrangement with PAACT (Pet & Animal Advocacy Care Team) Lethbridge www.paact.ca. See below for PAACT’s adoption application link.

Personalities: 

What a road this bonded pair has travelled on their way to trust while experiencing a complete change in their life circumstances. Thanks to a patient and understanding foster-guardian, Bandit and Hobbes have become affectionate and happy boys. Says their foster mom, “These are really nice cats!”

They are best friends looking to be the only cats in a home that loves big, friendly cats. These two are well socialized and like people; they are welcoming toward strangers, and glad to meet new people. A great way to get to know Bandit is by brushing that long, beautiful hair of his; he loves it. He is the confident sort, curious in a calm way, and very loving. Bandit’s eyes can becomes a bit runny from time to time but it is simply a matter of wiping them with a damp pad.

As for Hobbes, it’s cuddling and snuggling he wants; show him affection, and he’ll return it. He thrives on having others around him. When Hobbes was surrendered to PAACT, it was noted he doesn’t do especially well with children under five years of age. Bear in mind, we do not know the circumstances of his experience with children.

But these guys aren’t just the touchy-feely kind: they enjoy their action, too. String-toys are a big thing to them; so are paper bags, the large kind that are like caves to them. And then there is the tussles they get into, rough-housing the way boys do. But don’t worry: a few minutes later, they might be grooming each other – to make themselves look good for their people or visitors. When they hear the voice of their foster home’s cleaning lady, they wait expectantly for the treats she never fails to bring for them. They both enjoy getting some fresh air in the catio (see pictures).

The boys are bonded, so they must go together – but what a pair they would make for a person or family looking for the best pals one could wish for? Bandit and Hobbes are ready for their future!
