History:

Allegro was born about eleven o’clock to Rhapsody, a highly socialized stray taken in by PAW. We had hoped that ‘Rho’ was not pregnant, as we suspected she was unspayed. She was indeed pregnant. During the night of April 9th/10th, she gave birth to five kittens. Allegro (the term for a musical movement that is ‘happy’) was the second kitten to be  born.

Personality:

Of all his litter, Allegro is probably the most kitten-like. By that, we mean, he is everything a kitten should be, fast, fun, playful, active, audacious, mischievous. He’s a strong and healthy fellow, who may have overtaken his brother, Andante, as the biggest. (Thanks to their mother having been inside, safe and very well-fed during her pregnancy, and the kittens receiving plenty of good food, they are growing fast.)

Fully socialized to human handling, he likes having his chest rubbed; it once was necessary to be very gentle with him, but now he likes a little more energy in the action. He enjoys wrestling with his siblings and exploring; he also likes playing with people and is not slow in showing his enjoyment of life; his name means ‘happy’ and that’s what he is.

He, like his beautiful mum, Rhapsody, and siblings, Presto, Andante and Largo, are now ready for adoption (see their respective profiles.)

Please Note:

• The $250 adoption fee covers first vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and micro-chip.
• If the kitten is adopted before its booster is due (30 days from first vaccination), the adopter must arrange and pay for booster themselves.
• When it is time for the kitten’s spay/neuter surgery, a representative from PAW will be in touch with adopter to co-ordinate the date.
• All surgeries will be done at Highlands Pet Hospital in Lethbridge unless the adopter lives out of the area. For those cases, arrangements will be discussed individually.
• If adopter chooses to add pre-anesthetic blood-work prior to spay/neuter surgery, payment for that is the responsibility of the adopter and is payable to the veterinary clinic the morning of surgery.
• Post-surgery, adopter must contact PAW to request change in contact information for micro-chip (no charge)
