Tilly

Description: DSH silver/grey and white tabby
Born: Approximately March 20, 2025
Gender: Female

History:

Tilly was a stray being fed by a benevolent householder. She clearly had had a home at one time, as she was very friendly and trusting of humans. But she had not been spayed and was now pregnant. When her benefactor realized that she was very close to giving birth, he felt that he had to bring her in from the cold and dangerous outside, despite having several cats of his own already. Tilly gave birth the day after she was given refuge, but, due to the number of cats already present in the small home, Tilly and her new family were found space in a PAW foster-home.

Personality:

Tilly has come a long way as a foster-cat. She used to be rather aloof and stand-offish: she may not have been able to trust many humans in her former life. But everything pointed to Tilly being a kind-hearted and friendly soul. She was an excellent mother to her babies (two of whom – now no longer babies – have been adopted). Her foster-guardian remarked that she had not before hosted such quiet kittens. The reason? Tilly doesn’t let them cry for food; she is ready to care for their needs before they need them! She allowed her babies to be picked up, but didn’t want to be carried away from them herself.

Now at the end of her maternal duties, Tilly’s real personality can come through, just like her fellow former mother-cat, Cassie. Tilly is, according to the people fostering her, “such a calm girl now, so chill.” While she used to be rather hissy, another human, whom Tilly just met, finds her “very friendly”.

It’s true that she does look like she’s sneering a bit, but that’s just Tilly’s outside. Inside, she’s smiling, because that’s who she really is.
