Sunny
Colour: DMH Tuxedo (white toe socks on front, regular socks on back)
Age: Estimated to be about one year old – according to her veterinarian making her DOB January, 2025.
Gender: Spayed Female, micro-chipped
History:
Sunny was picked up by Raymond Bylaw in the County of Stirling. Details were few.
Personality:
Upon intake, Sunny’s small stature led us to believe she was perhaps four months old. At the health check, her veterinarian pointed out that she had all her adult teeth which caused us to re-think her age. And, later in her photos, we could see a tiny notch in her right ear and a very slight rim of what may be frost bite on her left one. That could put her as an adult. So the next question was, could she possibly be pregnant? No spay scar was visible so our veterinarian popped her on the ultrasound. No fetuses either. She was successfully spayed on January 21, 2026. The jury is still out with regards her exact age. If she continues to grow larger in her foster home over the next couple of months, we will revise her date of birth a bit.
Talk about a little doll! She has everyone in her foster home wrapped around her little paws. “She’s so sweet!” She is gentle and cooperative at her veterinary appointments and loves attention from anyone. For the first few weeks, most of Sunny’s time was spent recuperating with rest and plenty to eat; then she rediscovered the fun of running free, racing up and down the cat furniture, chasing balls and springs and trying to entice the adult cats in her foster home to play. So far, they all either like or tolerate her but it’s only Evelyn who puts in a little more effort. Sunny makes sure she is in foster mom’s bedroom at bedtime but usually wants out of the room towards morning. She thinks she could be missing something and it’s not long before she can be heard thumping up and down the hallway – well rested and ready for round one. Her medium-length fur is fine-textured and soft, her tail has pretty brown tones.
