Gender: Spayed Female, microchipped

History:

Talya doesn’t have much history, unfortunately: she had been abandoned. She was isolated from other cats for a couple of weeks until she was health-checked, snap tested (all negative) and vaccinated.During that time she was treated for an eye infection which she had upon intake. It likely started as something viral. After two rounds of antibiotics with not much improvement, our veterinarian switched the drops to a newer treatment called Cidofovir Ophthalmic which “is a topical antiviral medication used to treat viral infections of the eye”. The treatment worked extremely well and Talya’s eye is all healed up. She breezed through her spay surgery.

Personality:

Talya’s personality has emerged! It’s been quite exciting to watch her become healthy and happy. She’s playing up a storm with her other foster friends and has learned how to keep up with Felix (he’s a big guy compared to Talya and Ever). Being on her person’s shoulders is kind of fun too. Lately she discovered the large cat exercise wheel in her foster home. She was determined to get the hang of it! We don’t have a picture of her on it, but there’s a picture showing what one looks like in case you are curious (scroll through Talya’s pictures).

Talya is showing us that she makes friends quickly, so a playful cat would benefit from her companionship.
